Brief introduction: This medium trekking with across the mountain ridge takes you to the north-west of Georgia, Svaneti region, an area between the two ridges of Caucasus, which was completely isolated 100 years ago and has retained its amazing charm to this day. During the trek we will get over 3.000 m high passes and be able to admire the 5.000 m glaciated giants of Central Caucasus. We will see the original mountain villages with typical stone towers, characteristic for this mountainous region. We will get beneath the feet of the highest Georgian mountain Shkhara and the Caucasian beauty - Ushba.
Itinerary of this trek :
Day 1 - Arrival in the mountains
Upon arrival in Georgia, the journey begins to Mazeri, a small mountain village surrounded by beautiful countryside. On the way, a short stop in Zugdidi, where it is possible to relax and soak up the first impressions of Georgian culture. In the evening, a pleasant accommodation, traditional dinner and recharge your batteries for the upcoming adventure.

Day 2 - To Ushba Falls and transfer to Mestia
In the morning, hike to the impressive Ushba Falls, which cascade from the steep cliffs below one of the most beautiful peaks in the Caucasus. On the way, you can rest by a small lake with crystal clear water in which you can refresh yourself. In the afternoon, transfer to Mestia, the centre of Svanetia, where a delicious dinner and comfortable accommodation await in the evening.

Day 3 - Views of the Caucasus and route to Zhabeshi
The day begins with a cable car ride to a panoramic viewpoint with stunning views of the snow-capped peaks of the Caucasus. From here the trek continues through mountain valleys and traditional Svan villages to Zhabeshi. Luggage is transported by car, making the journey more comfortable and allowing you to fully enjoy the beauty of the landscape. In the evening a pleasant rest at a local guesthouse. (14 km / 6-7 hours)
Day 4 - Wandering to ancient Adishi
The route today leads to one of the most remote villages in the area - Adishi. Along the way, magical views of Svanetia's wild countryside open up. The old stone houses and towers look like they are from another century. In the evening, the peaceful atmosphere of a mountain village and delicious home cooking.

Day 5 - Over fords and mountain passes to Iprali
One of the most adventurous parts of the journey. After a few kilometres you have to ford a river, which adds a real mountain character to the trek. This is followed by a climb up a pass with breathtaking views of glaciers and then a descent to Iprali, where a warm dinner and cozy accommodation await. (19 km / 7-8 hours)
Day 6 - Schara Glacier and medieval Ushguli
Morning transfer to Ushguli, the highest permanently inhabited village in Europe. En route, stop at the Tower of Love, which is shrouded in local legend. In the afternoon, trek to the Schara Glacier, Georgia's highest mountain. Possibility of horseback riding or hiking. At the end of the day, visit the museum and have a well-deserved rest in the evening. (12 km / 4 - 5 hours)
Day 7 - Return to Kutaisi and the magic of Prometheus Caves
A longer drive back towards Kutaisi awaits, but there are a few interesting stops along the way. The first is Prometheus Caves, where you can admire a fascinating underground world full of stalactites and stalagmites. The next stop is Tchaltuba with a nice tasting of local wine. Dinner and overnight in Kutaisi. (total drive 6 - 7 hours)
Day 8 - Departure home
Transfer to the airport in the morning
