Discover the Magic of Georgia: Wine, History, and Unforgettable Experiences
We have prepared a unique journey through Georgia, where ancient history blends with the exquisite flavors of local wines. You will explore cave cities, taste wines in family-run wineries, and experience Georgian hospitality in charming villages and vibrant cities.
Day 1 – Arrival and the First Sip of Georgia
Arrival in Kutaisi (or Tbilisi – the itinerary will be adjusted accordingly). We begin with a visit to the mysterious former Soviet sanatorium in Tskaltubo. Next, we stop at a family winery for our first tasting of authentic Georgian wine. In the evening, we transfer to the Gori region for an overnight stay at a winery.
Day 2 – Cave City and Wine in Mtskheta
In the morning, we visit the fascinating rock-hewn city of Uplistsikhe, a place frozen in time. After a wine tasting, we head to Mtskheta, Georgia’s spiritual center. Here, we enjoy another local wine tasting before traveling to Udabno, where we spend the night in cozy cabins near the stunning Rainbow Mountains.
Day 3 – Horseback Riding and the Romance of Signagi
We start the day with a scenic horseback ride around Udabno. After lunch, we travel to the charming town of Signagi, known for its romantic streets and breathtaking views. A wine tasting is, of course, a must! We spend the night in Signagi.
Day 4 – Tunnel Winery and the Nekresi Monastery
Heading north into Kakheti, we visit a unique tunnel winery hidden beneath the hills. Then, we continue to the historic Nekresi Monastery, which offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. After lunch, we relax at a family winery, where we stay overnight in cozy cabins.
Day 5 – Medieval Gremi and Wine Tasting with Monks
Our journey takes us to the former capital of Kakheti, Gremi, before heading to the village of Napareuli. There, we visit the Alaverdi Monastery, where monks continue the ancient tradition of winemaking. After a tasting of their wines, we move on to Telavi for an overnight stay at a winery.
Day 6 – Telavi, Tsinandali, and a Georgian Feast
We begin the day by exploring Telavi before visiting the famous Tsinandali Estate winery. In the afternoon, we head toward Tbilisi with a stop in Mukhuri. In the evening, a grand traditional dinner with Georgian dances awaits us. Overnight stay in Tbilisi.
Day 7 – Tbilisi and a Farewell Toast in Kutaisi
We take a guided walk through Tbilisi’s historic center, enjoy local delicacies, and, after lunch, travel to Kutaisi. To bid farewell to Georgia, we indulge in one last wine tasting over a farewell dinner at a winery.
Day 8 – Departure
Early morning transfer to the airport in Kutaisi (or Tbilisi) and return home with unforgettable memories.
